The Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Associations (İMMİB) organized the panel “Strengthening Digital Trade through E-Export Consortia: The Case of Türkiye” at the Global SME Ministerial Meeting, organized by the International Trade Centre (ITC) in Johannesburg. Moderated by İMMİB Deputy Secretary General Aydın Yılmaz, the session focused on Türkiye's experience in developing e-export consortia and strengthening SMEs' access to global markets. Discussions covered the role of e-export consortia in reducing market-entry barriers, the cooperation between traditional exporters and digital-native companies, and the policy and support mechanisms developed to promote e-commerce. The panel also highlighted Türkiye's E-Kolay İhracat Platform and other initiatives aimed at helping companies develop their e-export capabilities and participate more effectively in the global digital economy.
