The Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Associations (İMMİB) organized the panel “Cross-Sectoral Learning for Industrial Decarbonization: Building Türkiye's Low-Carbon Ecosystem” at the Trade + Sustainability Hub 2026, held in Yaoundé in conjunction with the 14th WTO Ministerial Conference. Bringing together representatives from Türkiye's steel, aluminium, electrical and electronics, and mining sectors, the session examined industrial decarbonization from a cross-sectoral perspective. Discussions focused on common challenges such as changing trade rules, increasing protectionism, high technology and investment costs, and access to green finance, while also addressing circularity, technological transformation, carbon intensity and financing mechanisms. The panel highlighted the importance of cooperation and knowledge-sharing across interconnected industries in building Türkiye's low-carbon industrial ecosystem.
